Customer Challenge

The pet food industry is one of the most recurrent industries to use flexible packaging for single-use

sachets, therefore, many customers trust us their projects to offer them the solution that best suits

their needs.

The customer was experiencing low production and much staff because they were packing the

product into the stand-up pouches and metallic cans manually. For this reason, FL Tècnics has been

involved in the development of the right solution to satisfy all the customer’s requirement in terms

of supplying easy product filling system that just moving from pouch machine, can be used on the

metallic canning line.

The FL solution

FLTècnics has supplied a complete solution for a HFS premade

machine model FL 2.2H PMP STU2 in duplex version as

per customer’s URS for packing tuna chunks & Gravy into

stand-up pouch and metallic can with production up to 4.000

pouches/can per hour

The dosing system for Tuna Chunks small pieces was the key

solution for this project as it offers specific features.

  • Speed: up to 80 pouches/can per minute.

  • Sachet style: Stand up pouch / metallic can

  • Filling system: Servo motorized Volumetric SD2 system
    & Mass Flow meter from Endress & Hausser.
